TÜV obtained the recognition by EPA to test Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE)
TÜV Rheinland, and specifically our facility in Milan, is the only Testing Laboratory in Europe that have been recognized by EPA to test Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment, specifically its scope includes DC EVSE up to 350 kW.
It is an important milestone for TÜV Rheinland. In fact, by adding ENERGY STAR® testing service, we are widening the range of testing that it is possible to perform by choosing our labs according to the One Stop shop Principle keeping us at the forefront in the development and safety of EVSE and of the EV technologies.
"Obtaining this recognition is part of TÜV Rheinland's project for the development of its Power Electronics department. This entails the upgrade of the laboratories of the technology center in Pogliano Milanese (MI), which are equipped with reliable and cutting-edge equipment to carry out all the tests required ”, explains Marco Piva, Local Field Manager of TÜV Rheinland Italia for the Solar & Commercial Products business unit. "With this recognition we will be able to offer customers and companies in the sector an additional service, supporting them even more in accessing the American Electric Vehicle market, and furthering our position in international markets".
