TÜV Rheinland Italia: Remote Audits and Inspections

11.04.2020Pogliano Milanese (MI)

Even in the present situation, our most important goal is to provide the best possible service, while preserving the safety and health of all those involved (customers, employees and collaborators).

In order to meet the increasingly urgent needs in the business continuity field, TÜV Rheinland Italia is in a position to offer remotely the services that were normally provided at the customer’s premises, or at our premises with client presence, so as not to have any impact on:

  • continuity in the validity of certificates;
  • delivery time of the goods;
  • planning of activities.

The activity can be based both on technologies proposed by TÜV Rheinland and through platforms proposed by the customer; in both cases, it can be possible even without specific hardware and therefore in an immediately feasible and smart mode.

In any case, TÜV Rheinland takes charge of verifying the acceptability of the "remote" methodology with reference to regulatory requirements, applicable accreditations and after verification with the end customer, where contractually necessary.

The activities carried out remotely do not involve travel costs and allow a selection of the resources without necessarily taking into account the same geographical constraints which are essential for an on-site activity.

Remote control procedures can be applicable for most schemes:

  • System audits (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, UNI CEI 11352, ISO 50001, EN 9100, ISO 22000, ISO 13485, Credit and Treasury management certification).
  • Audit / Inspections / Test Witness under mandatory regime (e.g. for CE marking in the field of Medical Devices, Gas Appliances, ATEX, Functional Safety, Pressure Vessels and Metal Structures).
  • Second or third party inspections on a voluntary basis, tipically for materials, components and appliances for Energy&Process industry.
  • Pre-shipment and CoC-related inspections for government import control programs (e.g. to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt, Uganda, Ethiopia, Botswana, Morocco).
  • Factory Inspection for production supervision with reference to voluntary product marking (e.g. TÜV, GS, VSPC mark), international certification schemes (e.g. CCC, Inmetro, etc.) and audits for components and vehicles homologation processes in the automotive field.
  • Presence of clients during testing activities at our 17025 accredited laboratories, in case of pre-compliance tests or for complex tests set-up, or for products for which it is required a deep knowledge.
