In order to ensure consumers safe and quality products as well as have an official conformity policy in line with other member states of the East African Community, the Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) established its Pre-Export Verification of Conformity (PVoC) program in June of 2013.
PVoC provides those looking to export to Uganda with guidelines to help them demonstrate their compliance and acquire the Certificate of Conformity needed to successfully access the Ugandan market. Products which have not been exempted from certification or determined prohibited, are assigned to the following regulated product categoires:

After submitting an application request for PVoC services, completing all requirements and achieveing the Certificate of Conformity for your shipment of regulated goods, UNBS inspectors will verify the consignment and allow for the release of your products into the Ugandan market.
