TÜV Rheinland Coronavirus Business Response Survey
The COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak caught everyone by surprise during Chinese New Year 2020. The TÜV Rheinland Coronavirus Business Response Survey shows that organizations in Mainland China have resumed work, and production in all walks of life is now gradually coming back on track. The survey was conducted at the end of February, with more than 450 companies participating. The outbreak has impacted the performance of myriad enterprises, to a greater or lesser degree.
Performance at most responding enterprises has declined slightly, but most anticipate overcoming the impact, or at least maintaining equilibrium with previous years. Only 5.5% of companies have experienced sharply reduced orders. For more detail, please click here.
Country/Region Actions Addressing Coronavirus Pandemic
The World Health Organization (WHO) officially declared the novel coronavirus crisis a global pandemic on March 11. Many countries have required the suspension of business activities and work from home by employees, and are conducting border controls. These measures have also affected market access requirements. As a result, there may be delays in certification. TÜV Rheinland Market Access Services has compiled and organized relevant information. For more detail, please click here.
Innovative Service to Support Business
To minimize the risk of COVID-19 spreading in the community, governments around the world have imposed various degrees of restrictions on inbound travel and advised people to minimize social contact. In order to avoid delays in product development during the pandemic, TÜV Rheinland Hong Kong has launched the innovative Online Witness EMC Test for product retesting and pre-testing. Through live streaming, you can witness the testing simultaneously and engage in direct interaction with our experts.
Update on Measures Taken to Beat the Virus
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, TÜV Rheinland Taiwan has imposed COVID-19 infection prevention and control (IPC) measures from March 23, 2020 to April 1, 2020. The measures include recommending the use of online meetings instead of face-to-face meeting and allowing staff to work from home without service interruption to clients.
