DENAN & PSE Approval
Japan's DENAN Act puts electrical and electronic products into two categories. Category A products in Category A require certification by a Recognized Conformity Assessment Body (RCAB), such as TÜV Rheinland. This conformity assessment on product in the case of foreign applicants is mainly based on IEC standards, but includes national differences. For Category B products, manufacturers must ensure conformity with Japanese standards and regulations. Depending on the category, the products are either issued a rhombus or a round PSE mark.
Optional S Mark Certification
The optional S mark certification is available for electrical products including those not falling under DENAN legislation. The S Mark is a certification mark well-known in Japanese market, and we can help with the registration process.
Japan Radio Approval
Radio based products in Japan must comply with the Japan Radio Law. TÜV Rheinland Japan perform test and certification of Specified Radio Equipment as a registered certification body authorised by MIC(Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications).There are two types of certification, one is the certification for each radio equipment and the other is the certification for design of radio equipment. The certification for design is mainly for mass production products.
Japan Telecom Approval
Radio based devices and wired-telecom products have capabilities to connect to network of the operator (e.g. NTT, docomo, au, Softbank) must comply with the Japan Telecommunications Business Law. TÜV Rheinland Japan perform test and certification of specified Radio/Telecom Equipment as a registered certification body authorised by MIC. There are two types of certification, one is the certification for each equipment and the other is the certification for design of equipment. The certification for design is mainly for mass production products.
VCCI designation is optional. Members of the Voluntary Control Council for Interference by Information Technology Equipment (VCCI) can submit their TÜV Rheinland test reports for review - and request a VCCI label for their product.
Legal Regulations for Medical Devices
Medical devices in Japan must comply with PMD Act (Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Act). The Japanese Minister of Health, Labor, and Welfare has approved TÜV Rheinland Japan, Ltd. as a Registered Certification Body. We are authorized to carry out the approval process for designated medical devices entering Japan.
SG Seal of Safety Approval for Mechanical Products
The Japanese Consumer Product Safety Association creates safety standards for consumer goods. As an approved inspection agency, we can conduct the tests required for your product – be they household or recreational devices. We can then issue the SG seal of approval for restricted products - short for "Safe Goods."
KC Safety Approval
All electrical products, Lithium batteries, and protective devices entering Korea need to bare the KC mark for access to the Korean market. TÜV Rheinland offers its services for testing and certifying your products according to the regulations issued by the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS).

Consumer Protection Scheme (CPS Scheme)
To be able to sell controlled goods in Singapore, you need the Singapore CoC. Based on the CoC, client can apply for the Letter of Authorization (LoA) to SPRING. The safety mark helps consumers, retailers and businesses identify controlled goods available on the market
The Singapore Safety Authority (SPRING) manages Consumer Protection Registration Scheme (CPS), which lists safety requirements for 45 categories of household electrical, electronic and gas appliances and accessories. The CoC shows that these products meet the specified safety standards before they are given the Singapore safety mark and can be sold in Singapore.

IDA Telecom Approval

ST Approval for Safety

Product Certification Scheme
Under this Scheme, which is based on the ISO Scheme Type 5, an applicant will be awarded a license to demonstrate SIRIM Certification Mark on their product only if the product complies with the requirement of the specified standard and the factory has a proper quality control system to ensure consistency and continuously compliance with the standard.
Batch Consignment Scheme
This is also known as Batch Certification is an alternative to Product Certification Scheme. Under the consignment service, approval is given only to consignments which have satisfactorily gone through the inspection and testing process.. The consignment service is only applicable for imported, regulated electrical products and it ensures all imported products placed in the Malaysian market comply with the standard and regulatory requirements. SIRIM label will ensure your products’ compliance with national or international safety standards and could help boost customer confidence in your products through the use of SIRIM Labels as marketing tools.
Conformity assessment for Medical Device
TÜV Rheinland Malaysia Sdn Bhd is a registered CAB (Conformity Assessment Body) under Medical Device Act 2012 (Act 737, Section 10(1) and Regulation 8, Medical Device Regulation 2012.
