09-07-18Greater China

September 5th, Huawei Honor 8X series (8X and 8X Max) held a new product launch conference in Xi'an. The mobile phone series is the world’s first to have successfully passed the TÜV Rheinland Low-Blue Light certification.

TÜV Rheinland's exclusive “Low Blue Light Content” standard ensures that the screen effectively reduces the blue light content that damages the eyes, combined with the color temperature and luminance adjustment to reduce adverse effect on eyes as a result of long-term use of the phone.

Following the Huawei Mate10 and P20 series, the two parties have once again joined hands to provide consumers with a safe, comfortable, and high-quality mobile phone experience.

Mr. Frank Holzmann, Vice President, Global Head of Operations I BS Products said:“Today, we feel honored to apply this standard, for the first time, to the smartphone industry. I also appreciate the great efforts that Huawei Honor mobile phone has devoted to reducing blue light emissions for the health and experience of consumers. We hope that through this partnership, we will be able to bring consumers more ‘Honor’ products in the future.”

TÜV Rheinland has been a leader in the field of low blue light emissions certification of the display industry, covering 17 brands across 6 product categories, TV, all-in-one PC, VR, etc. Through our rigorous tests, the hazardous blue light is controlled within a safe range to bring consumers a healthier experience.
