Kansai Technology Assessment Center (KTAC) Overview

As part of our global strategy, TÜV Rheinland is developing an infrastructure to set up renewable energy test facilities offering solar and wind power testing, lithium ion battery testing, and services related to electronic vehicles (EV). As part of this strategy Kansai Technology Assessment Center (KTAC) was opened in Higashinari Ward, Osaka in 2012.

Total floor space of the three-story building exceeds 2500㎡. At KTAC we provide testing and evaluation services for photovoltaic and re-chargeable energy storage systems (REESS) such as lithium-ion batteries and electric double-layer capacitors.
