03-10-15Greater China

An updated version of EN62115 has been approved by European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC) in June 2014. The date of publication in Official Journal is still not confirmed.

Major technical changes compared with current harmonized version

• Toys which contain an integrated field source generating EMF shall comply with EN62233:2008 with the following modifications.

• Toys should not emit EMF that pose a hazard to the user or that unduly affect other products. The risk is reduced if the toy complies with the limit values.

• Toys without a motor, inductor or only include passive electronic components, are considered to comply with this requirement. No measurement is required. Parts of toys consuming a current of 3 A or less are also not applicable.
