ICT Related Services

As WTO-member since January 2007, Vietnam expects a lot of foreign investment to develop the infrastructure in general, and the technological infrastructure in particular. More business in Vietnam in general also means more potential for the local IT market. Furthermore, with the strong reform strategies proposed by the government, all of the state owned or governmental service offices are bound to apply IT in management in order to improve their efficiency, thus creating an increasing number of opportunities for IT in the B2B sector.

There are currently about 4,000 ICT companies in Vietnam, employing approximately 30,000 employees. Of these companies, it is estimated that the number of software companies is 720, though, they attract more than 20,000 employees. Most of the software enterprises are small apart from approximately 20 enterprises that employ more than 100-500 employees each. In terms of certification, less than ten enterprises have obtained the international certificate of quality management CMMI-5, CMM-3 or 4, and just above 30 enterprises have been certified with ISO 9001.

Some key strengths of the Vietnamese ICT sector are: cost-effectiveness, a labour force that is fast working and keen on learning, and a government that is strongly commited to ICT development. With new policies designed to encourage the establishment of private ICT Universities and Training Institutions, to attract foreign investment in ICT, and to provide a frame of relevant laws for e-business, the government is well prepared for the future development of the ICT industry.

TUV Rheinland VietNam has aimed to increase the international competitiveness of Vietnam’s ICT Industry through the development of a Comprehensive Quality Management Program (CQMP) and a Comprehensive Information Security Program (CISP).

The programs focus on providing consultancy and training services, specialized in enhancing the potential and capabilities of VietNam ICT resources, to IT, Communication & Technology related business in Vietnam. Our consultancy and training services are mainly, but not limited to, focused on these standards: CMMi, ISO 27001 (ISMS) and ISO 20000 (ITIL).
