Safexpert-user training course (1 day)
This training course is aimed at Safexpert users. You will learn how to use Safexpert in order to simplify and accelerate your CE-marking process.
Contents:
- Short overview: CE-marking according to Machinery Directive
- CE marking with Safexpert – concept and structure
- Clear structuring and administration of projects – define template projects
- Search for relevant standards
- Systematic hazard analysis following EN 1050, EN ISO 12100, EN 954-1
- Check and Acceptance-Assistant
To provide the participant with an in-depth understanding of the software Safexpert, its functions and how to use it correctly.
With Safexpert you will be able to….
- Set up customised template projects
- Install and update the standards register (SDR) according to the specific needs of your team
- Create your own print templates (modifying existing reports, )
- Design special hazards lists for specific machine categories (e.g. according to C-standards)
- Store approved solutions
A well optimised Safexpert system combined with functional in-depth knowledge supports efficient CE-marking. As a result, your hazard analysis will become faster, more efficient and safer. A goal of this course is to enable the participant to be able to support other Safexpert users within his/her company..
Practical experiences, questions and discussions freshen the training course.

He has specialized in Safexpert training courses and has given particular support in development of the Safexpert English/French versions (Translation of the hazards list according to EN 1050, development and translation of the Safexpert reports,…).
Method:
Each participant works with his own PC/laptop and a preloaded version of Safexpert
- Working with practical examples and supported by Q&A sessions which allow an opportunity to exchange personal experiences.
Training Concept:
This training course is aimed at Safexpert users. A short introduction will also be made highlighting the possibilities the system. administrator has in modifying Safexpert to the individual needs of your company.
Setting up Safexpert as best suits your company requirements:
- User authorisation, personnel management
- Set up and update standards/directives register
- Set up and modify hazards lists
- Modify measures library
Optimal use of Safexpert:
- CE–marking with Safexpert – concept and structure according to the Machinery Directive
- Clear structuring and administration of projects – define template project
- Search for relevant standards and import into the project
- Full text search across more than 50 European standards (with Acrobat Reader)
- Systematic hazard analysis following EN 1050, EN ISO 12100
- Selection of safety related parts of control systems (EN 954-1)
- Selection of relevant pictogram's and inclusion into hazard analysis – set up pictogram list
- Displaying the hazard analysis in four views (enables a maximum overview)
- Interface hazard analysis – instruction handbook: working with the instructions assistant
- Compiling the technical construction files/ instruction handbook according to the checklists
- Status check: Which points are still open? Is CE-marking possible?
- Can the Conformity or Manufacturer’s declaration be signed?
