Chile has 4 certification systems: Type Approval, Type Approval with factory inspection, Lot approval and a certification based on a mark issued by one of the following international certification bodies: UL, VDE, NF, IMQ, KEMA-KEUR, ÖVE, SEV, BEAB, CSA, JIS, DEMKO, SEMKO, NEMKO, CEBEC. But even though the product bears one of these marks still reduced tests have to be performed.
