Which products are listed for CCC?

In December 2001, the China government issued the Regulation for Compulsory Product Certification based on the ISO/IEC Guide 67. Since then, 156 products in 21 product categories have been included in this Compulsory Certification scheme. An updated list can be found on the CNCA website www.cnca.gov.cn

What is the certification mode for CCC?

The general certification code is Type test + initial factory inspection + supervision after inspection

Type Test

The type tests are the lab tests performed as per the relevant implementation rules for the products. The Implementation rules can be downloaded from the CNCA website www.cnca.gov.cn. The tests are conducted as per the requirements identified in the GB standards referred to in the Implementation Rules or for electrical products by using the equivalent IEC standards as part of the CB Scheme. At present, testing to GB standards can only be done in accredited test facilities in China.

Initial Factory Inspection:

An initial Factory Inspection is conducted to confirm that the products matched with those type-approved and to verify that the manufacturer's quality management system meets the CCC requirements. This Initial Factory Inspection is conducted by the CQC appointed inspectors from China.

Supervision after inspection:

After the first inspection during the initial product certification, a follow-up audit is to be conducted usually every 6 or 12 months depending on the product. This follow-up audit confirms that the product consistency is maintained and the usage of the CCC approval marks is regulated effectively
