What is ecological agriculture?

Ecological agriculture is a specific type of running a farm and food production. Food is produced without artificial fertilizers and synthetic means of plant protection, antibiotics, growth hormones and genetically modified organisms.
Thanks to the production in clean and safe environment the food is not only tasty but also characterised by hig quality. Thus, it proves that a farm at which it was produced takes care of the whole environment and also ensures proper breeding of animals.

  • assurance of sales of your products – very extensive popularity at home and abroad,
  • reduction of investment expenditure,
  • fulfillment of clients’ expectations – more and more poeple reach for home-made products,
  • creation of the idea of health lifestyle,
  • positive impast on environment.

What is not allowed, and what is a must – conditions and requirements

You are not allowed to use:

  • synthetic means of plants protection, fertilizers and seed treatments,
  • artificial concentrates, industrial feedstuffs and ionizing radiation,
  • keeping animals on grating or in cramped cage-pens,
  • GMO = genetically modified organisms,
  • prophylactically - allopathic veterinary medicines and antibiotics.

Moreover, in animal breeding it is necessary to:

  • absolutely keep good condition of animals, their procreation in a natural way with possible insemination,
  • maintain appropriate ventilation, room and hight of rooms, provide acces to runs and pasture breeding,
  • not to exceed the maximum of 2 LSU/ha equivalent to 170 kg N/ha,
  • base animals feeding on the feedstuffs produced according to ecological methods

Certification of ecological agriculture

We hold PCA AC-141 certificate with certification authorisation and authorisation granted by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development with identification nubmer PL-EKO-08 for carrying out control and issuing and withdrawing certificates of conformity with regard to:

  1. organic plant cultivation and animal maintenance;
  2. harvest from the natural state;
  3. beekeeping;
  4. processing of organic products and production of feed and yeast;
  5. putting of organic products on the market, including import from Third World countries;
  6. products from aquaculture and seaweed.

How to become an ecological farmer?

We will help you with that!
You must only:

  • apply your candidatre with our Certification Body and the Province Inspectorate of Commercial Quality of Agricultural and Foor Products swoją działalność (GIJHARS),
  • submit a request for a agricultural and environment payment in a county Agency for Agriculture Development and Restructurisation,
  • go throught control during transforming a farm from traditional one to an ecological (2-3 years),
  • obtain in the third/fourth year a certificate of an ecological farm.
