Certification of traditional and regional products

Food production according to traditional recipes has become at present a way to increase interest of a potential client in a product, whose origin is connected with production methods unchanged for many centuries or with a certain region. The products are more and more accepted in the eses of consumer and at the same time significantly influence promotion and development of the region from which they derive.

Obtaining a certificate which will ensure both legal protection of the name, applied production mehthods and recipe and control of the production process of a certain product represent a notable benefit for protection and promotion of traditional and regional products. Moreover, it will guarantee safety of producers’ interests in term of fighting unfair competition.

TRP, acting on the basis of the decision of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Developement no PP-oz-kz-076-515/08 (2694) dated 07.08.2008r. obtained a right to carry out control and to issue and withdraw certificates confirming conformity of the production process of agricultural products and foodstuffs having protected designation of origin, protected geographical indication or traditional speciality guaranteed (a certificate of specific character) with specification.
