TÜV Rheinland to Hold International Approvals Roundtables

TÜV Rheinland is hosting a series of free International Approvals (IA) roundtable discussions on the global regulatory approval of products. Professionals involved in legal placement of products in global markets, including marketing, compliance and engineering staff, are invited to participate in the discussions that will include:
- An overview of global regulatory/IA requirements with focus on telecom/radio, wireless, product safety (including EN60950, EN60065 and EN60335), EMC and Mutual Recognition Agreements
- Information on country-specific regulatory requirements in:
- BRICK countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and Korea)
- Countries with regulatory changes (Russia, Korea, Taiwan and Ukraine)
- Additional challenging markets
The sessions will also introduce TÜV Rheinland’s IA services, including global service and delivery, final in-country product registration services and IA program management.
The presenter is Bill Holz, Electric Business Field Technical Manager for Market Access/IA at TÜV Rheinland. He has 25 years of experience in international regulatory services and is an expert in the rules and pitfalls of navigating complex international regulatory procedures. In his present position, Holz is responsible for the development of global channels and market access solutions for clients. These solutions cover more than 200 countries and a broad range of products.
The roundtables are scheduled in six locations throughout the country and will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and include breakfast and lunch. The dates and locations are:
- March 13 – Austin, Tex.
- March 20 – Raleigh, N.C.
- April 10 – Carlsbad, Calif.
- May 8 – Minneapolis, Minn.
- September 11 – Portland, Ore.
- September 18 – Atlanta, Ga.
