TUV Rheinland expands its facility in India

Bangalore, October 20, 2011 – TUV Rheinland, a worldwide leader in Testing, Inspection, Certification & Training, inaugurates its first 10 meter Anechoic Chamber today at Electronic City. This unique Anechoic Chamber will support testing and certification activities for all industry segments such as Medical, Wireless, Automotive, Electrical and Electronic etc. in India. Being known for it’s commitment to quality, TUV Rheinland (India) Pvt. Ltd, is confident of serving their clients to meet the required domestic and international regulations effectively.

The Anechoic Chamber was inaugurated by former Karnataka Lokayukta Justice Santosh Hegde in the presence of Dr Manfred Bayerlein, CEO TUV Rheinland, and other high-ranking representatives of companies and politics.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Anechoic Chamber, Dr Bayerlein said: “Today is a historic day. We have achieved yet another milestone. Our testing capacity has grown rapidly in the last years up to 40,000 sq. ft. The 10 meter Anechoic Chamber is set up in this facility to meet the phenomenal demands for design solutions in India and to win the trust of global players.”

Elaborating on TUV Rheinland India’s expansion plans, Dr Bayerlein stated: “Success followed us with the opening of the Photovoltaic lab, and Chemical and Material testing labs last year. During the next three years, TUV Rheinland will continuously invest to expand its testing capabilities across India. The investment includes expanding our existing facilities in Bangalore and New Delhi along with setting up of new facilities. In the near future, we intend to diversify our portfolio with Infrastructure and Energy. I take this opportunity to thank our partners and clients in India for their trust and constant support.”

The anechoic chamber will enable to test any electronic and wireless products for their radiations ranging between 9KHz to 40GHz in accordance with national and international standards- CISPR, FCC, ETSI etc. It will also support technologies like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, GSM 3G and 4G.

This facility will offer a one-stop solution for testing and certification of all kind of products, such as IT, Telecom, Medical and Photovoltaic. The focus area will be in the field of electromagnetic, wireless technology, electrical safety, product reliability to name a few.
