Some Examples of TÜV Rheinland Group Activities
Atmospheric Pollution: Development and implementation of air quality master plans for cities or geographical areas: the TÜV Rheinland Group acted as advisor for authorities of the cities of Mexico and Santiago de Chile in the creation of an atmospheric pollution control system.
The TÜV Rheinland Group has also drafted statements of gas emissions for over 150 industries in conformance with German legislation. In another case, the Ministry of Environment, Planning and Agriculture of North Rhineland (Germany’s most industrialized province) charged TÜV with verifying gas emission statements in this area.
- Study and Assessment of the total noise under the simultaneous influence of different sources such as airports, trains, traffic and other, for the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Baden-Württemberg
- SABINE Investigation Project: Development of fundamentals to analyse the safety of processing facilities with fuel cells in stationary cogeneration energy of heat facilities for fuel consumption under 70 kW.
- Certification of Photovoltaic modules in accordance with IEC 61215 / IEC 61646. Safety tests of Class II photovoltaic modules.
