Inspections
Inspections are utilized to ensure that products certified by TÜV Rheinland are consistently manufactured and tested in accordance with all relevant requirements established by international standards.
Factory inspections are carried out by highly qualified personal of TÜV Rheinland, operating under the Department of Product Safety.
Types of Inspections
First Factory Inspection:
An initial audit (FFI) is performed in the factory to ensure that the manufacturer counts with a quality system that ensures consistently manufacturing in accordance with applicable standards and relevant requirements.
Follow-up Inspection:
A surveillance audit (FUI) of the certified product and the manufacturing process takes place to ensure continued compliance with applicable standards.
