ZigBee certification program
The ZigBee certification program consists of three stages:
- Prerequisite is that the radio and MAC (Medium Access Control) are in compliance with the IEEE 802.15.4 specifications.
- On the level above this hardware, the networking software (protocolstack) must be tested as ZigBee Compliant Platform(ZCP). The ZCP is a kind of development board which enables the operator to do modifications and debugging during the testing.
- The final stage is interoperability test of the end product which incorporates the hardware and the software of the ZCP. The end product will be tested against golden units.
After successfully passing all three testing stages, the end product will be allowed to attach ZigBee logo.
