Poland B-Mark
After Poland became a member of EU on May 01of 2004, Polish B-Mark became a voluntary test mark. All issued certificates are keeping its validity without any changes for the license holder. The Polish B-Mark can be used additionally to the required CE-marking. The EMC requirements for B-Mark were adjusted to the EMC directive. Since May 01of 2004, emission and immission is required.
TÜV Rheinland has a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with PCBC (Polskie Centrum Badan I Certyfikacji) for B-Mark approval. PCBC issues the Polish Safety Mark based on the documentation provided by TÜV Rheinland. The B-Mark is still well known in the Polish market and purchase decisions are based on Polish B-Mark.
There will be a multiplicity of Polish Safety marks in the future. B-Mark will be issued by several Certification Bodies. Other voluntary safety marks can also be used to show a conformity to the polish Safety and EMC requirements. All these voluntary safety marks shall be registered under the PCA (Polish Centre for Accreditation) accreditation scheme.
