Low-Voltage Directive (LVD) 73/23/EEC

This directive relates to electrical product safety. It applies to products with 50 to 1,000 VAC or 75-1500 VDC Input including computers, information technology equipment, household products, power tools, laboratory equipment, test and measurement equipment and power supplies. Components must comply with the applicable directives, but in most cases should not be CE Marked. The Low-Voltage Directive is effective since 1973 and was amended by 93/68/EEC with the adding of the CE Marking.
