ISO 9241-307 mark
As a successor of meanwhile withdrawn “ISO 13406-2”-standard “ISO 9241-307” addresses Image Quality problems resulting from the picture generating part of Visual Display Units.
“ISO 9241-307”-mark denotes compliance to the requirements and limits described in that standard. Testing conditions are laid down in context of use.
Therefore requirements for the ISO 9241-307-Mark are met, if compliance to one of the 2 compliance routes noted down in the standard is achieved. Also the ISO 9241-307-mark does not necessarily express compliance to European Visual Display Working Place Directive 90/270/EEC. Respective exclusion will be indicated on certificates accordingly.
For Displays with glossy enclosures, the certificate will state: “The display is not suitable for general office work. To position the display, the office illumination shall be considered, to avoid any annoying reflections from the enclosure.”
Same or similar content shall be stated in the user manual as percussion.
