TÜV Rheinland Aimex Ltd.
TÜV Rheinland Aimex Ltd., food inspection laboratory of TÜV Rheinland of Taiwan, was accredited as a “Registered laboratory” by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) of Japan as prescribed by the public inspection laboratory system for exporting countries under the Food Sanitation Law. This is the first private laboratory accredited from Taiwan.
As a result of this accreditation, the inspection results* conducted by TÜV Rheinland Aimex will be treated equally to the food sanitation inspection results conducted by registered domestic Japanese inspection laboratories. Specifically, a portion of the inspections held during import quarantines will now be omitted when TÜV Rheinland Aimex handles the analysis for food imported from Taiwan to Japan and the certificate has been attached. This is expected to produce such benefits as saving time and reducing the risk for legal infractions.
*Inspection results based on analysis methods stipulated by Japan’s Food Sanitation Law
