TÜV Rheinland Korea Art Gallery10th exhibition by Ms.Kim Jung Eun ‘Cell People’

11. May 2009 - 17. Jul 2009 | Seoul

In a part of contribution of developing various fields of art, education and local communities, TÜV Rheinland Korea is continuously promoting the art works for many artists all over the world. TÜV Rheinland Korea Art Gallery in Guro displays many different types of art works from painting, landscape, portraits, sculptures to glassworks.

For their tenth exhibition, TÜV Rheinland Korea Art Gallery is inviting you for Ms.Kim Jung-Eun’s “Cell People” exhibition. Her work covers the broad range of human feelings and presents a variety of feelings by means of a variety of colors. The artist invented cell people – transformed human beings – who have color cells. She created the cell people subjectively in order to examine the self and express the image of modern people more humorously, thus sympathizing with the mass of people through artistic works.

Ms.Kim Jung Eun said “Human beings live with a variety of feelings about society. I examined ‘the phenomena of mask’ through the internal and external modality of psychological conflict. I tried to express subjective consciousness into the picture of ‘square’. The space of ‘square’ is another world and another reality”. The paintings highlight the modality of modern people’s conflict in a square that abolishes a hiding space and exposes all the things.

Ms.Kim Jung Eun’s works will be displayed until the end of July and her vernissage will be held on June 4th at the 1st floor of E&C Venture Dream Tower 6, 197-28, Guro-dong, Seoul.

(The regular gallery hours are 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.)
