EMC Testing and Certification
Under the EU's Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive 89/336/EEC, all electrical and electronic equipment sold in the European Union must meet the following directives as below:
- non-interference with other equipment (emission of electromagnetic waves)
- immunity against external interference (disturbance by electromagnetic waves)
Self-declaration with the CE marking is available for some harmonized directives. However, for certain product groups, EMC must be certified by a "Competent Body" such as TÜV Rheinland Group through the TCF route (Technical Construction File). A Competent Body is an independent testing organization which is authorized by the government.
Throughout Asia, TÜV Rheinland Group offers various kinds of conformity routes to meet numerous customer's needs. We can test your equipment at TÜV Rheinland's appointed independent EMC test sites. For large equipment which is difficult to transport, we can provide testing at the client's convenience.
After successful EMC testing, TÜV Rheinland proves that your product meets all applicable EU requirements for CE marking. After receiving CE marking, you can also obtain widely recognized TÜV Rheinland EMC mark to raise your consumer's confidence.
