How can I make use of BLUETOOTH® technology?
For you to make use of BLUETOOTH® technology of your product, you will need to join the Special Interest Group (SIG). You will undertake to use the patented BLUETOOTH technology only if the product is tested, qualified and listed. Listing costs a one-off fee that covers the cost of using BLUETOOTH technology.
TÜV Rheinland Group has been on board since we have received BLUETOOTH Qualification. At our recognized BLUETOOTH Qualified Test Facilities (BQTFs), we test your products for compliance with BLUETOOTH specifications as below.

- Profile tests
- Interoperability tests
With our BLUETOOTH Qualification Experts (BQEs), we check with requirements to determine whether your product can be listed. In order to proceed, we organize documentation, declarations and content of test reports and carry out interoperability tests. Your product is then listed in the official database of qualified products. Once your product is on the BLUETOOTH Qualification List, you can attach the BLUETOOTH logo to demonstrate that your product has met all of the requirements.

We also carry out regulatory tests such as EMC, radio, health and electrical safety tests in accordance with the Low Voltage Directive not only for Europe but for many other countries.
CTIA Certification Service
All manufacturers of celluar phone or personal communication products requires mandatory CTIA certification. TÜV Rheinland Korea is an appointed IOPT CATL(CTIA Authorized Testing Lab.,) offers you CTIA certification service with Bluetooth SIG as One-Stop Service.
What is CTIA(Celluar Telephone Industries Association)?
CTIA-The Wireless Association®, is The Wireless Association, which is so called Cellular Telephone Industries Association, is an international industry trade group.
It is an organization connected to each others such as celluar phone, personal communication service providers, wireless communication sectors and testing laboratories. They are coordinating with the governmental organization and discuss regarding the industry and developing the regulation of the tests.
CTIA Certification Process
As an appointed CATL , TÜV Rheinland will provide CTIA service as below.
1) Certification request to CTIA
2) Select the service and enter the information requried
3) Pay the certification fee
4) Testing samples
5) Submit evaluation report to CTIA
6) Listing-up on the CTIA Website
