Approvals in the USA, Canada and Mexico (cTUVus)

The U.S., Canadian and Mexican governments have precise regulations which a product must satisfy before it can be approved in those markets. The products are subject to obligatory testing and certification by an independent testing body which must be accredited in the respective country.

cTUVus mark

We entered the U.S.market many years ago and licensed to operate as a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL). We offer you our cTUVus mark as proof of the tests conducted according to UL standards.
In Canada, we are licensed for testing and certification according to Canadian standards. With the cTUV mark, you can be sure of a successful launch in the Canadian market.
cTUVus mark allows you to sell products in both the U.S. and Canadian markets without problems. Our clients who already have a TÜV approval such as GS mark have no need to pay any additional annual fee for a cTUVus mark. In some cases, they can even forego additional monitoring of their production facilities.
In Mexico, your products must be approved according to NOM. Household and similar products are overseen by the certification body NYCE and electronic & IT products by ANCE. Recognition of our test reports is ensured by a bilateral agreement with a laboratory accredited by both certification bodies. You are not required to send any extra test sample to Mexico. We take care of everything for you on the spot.
