TUV Rheinland Japan Ltd. has a history of cooperating with industry, customers, authorities and consumers. As an organization, we are committed to protect our customers' personal information. This statement describes the general policy for handling personal information and to explain rights and duties in relation to it. This privacy statement covers information acquired both online and off-line.

"Personal Information", as referenced in this Privacy Policy, means information, which can serve to identify, contact or locate an individual such as, but not limited to, name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address.

In obtaining various services, customers may be asked to provide personal information in order for us to process the order and to provide the service requested.

B. How the Information is used

Personal information acquired is used only for the purpose of providing services requested. We may also use personal information to inform other services, updates, to send seasonal greetings and special invitations. Individuals and personal information providers can request to limit such information.

C. How the information is securely protected

Personal information is protected from organizational, operational and technical point of view and the details are defined in our internal security and personal information protection manual.

D. Sharing of personal information with third parties

TUV Rheinland Japan Ltd. will not sell or rent personal information we hold, but there are certain situations where disclosure of personal information is necessary to provide the services requested such as to contracted personnel and subcontractors who have confidentiality agreements with us.

E. Usage of Cookie

We do not use Cookie, which collect private information. Our cookie is merely used to identify sessions "channels" between users and the server. In case the user does not allow session-cookie we automatically encode the session information into the URL itself. This cookie is not stored for later use, but cleared once a session is closed.

F. Changes in the Privacy Statement

TUV Rheinland Japan Ltd. reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy, as it seems appropriate. When the revision is made, the changes will be posted here.
