Common Criteria

Common Criteria (ISO/IEC 15408) is the internationally recognized IT security evaluation criteria standard for IT products and systems. The Evaluation and Testing Scheme of Common Criteria provides a global way to state both consumers' security needs and products' security specifications.

TÜV Rheinland, one of the world's leading independent purveyors of industrial safety, product safety testing and certification, has also been active in supporting companies in IT-related areas; assuring IT quality by offering neutral and recognized analysis, evaluations and certifications in the areas of IT security, IT processes, IT usability and e-commerce. In partnership with EWA-Canada, TÜV Rheinland offers you the opportunity to ensure with Common Criteria that your products and systems comply with their security claims. We provide a holistic Common Criteria Evaluation Service - from the design to the certificate - and project management for various national and international marketplaces.

Many of the world's biggest IT building and buying nations have signed multilateral agreements embracing the Common Criteria Standard. These agreements allow vendors to sell their wares with Common Criteria Certificates in foreign markets without product retesting - a benefit you can gain. Enter new marketplaces and receive worldwide acceptance of your evaluated products and systems.

Common Criteria Certification attracts your customers' interest and enhances confidence in your products and solutions. Express your security concern in a common international language - reliability will be the strength of your technologies. Demonstrate your products compliance to governmental, organizational or industrial security policies by applying the Common Criteria Standard.
