Exhibition Details

Kazuya Kaneko Art Exhibition    “Before sunrise”
(The time shared by darkness and light before the dawn)

“The city in the dead of night. Every night a limitless number of cats flock together through the streets and hundreds gather in the parks. (Abridged) Life thrives even while the city sleeps.”

The works for this exhibition resonate with the straightforward thinking of Kaneko, who strives to continue to innovate, and the lively motion of cats in the middle of the night. The expressions of the cats are coquettish, and the vitality of each cat is charmingly condensed into a simple model.

A wonderfully enjoyable exhibition that makes one feel as if they can overhear the chatting cats in the middle of the night.
