TTAI – Europe’s most Advanced Crash Center in Helmond, Netherlands

To test the passive safety of your vehicles, choose Europe’s most modern independent testing company for vehicle manufacturers and suppliers: TTAI, TÜV Rheinland TNO Automotive International. Opened in October 2008, our competence center for passive safety can take on a maximum capacity of 300 full-scale tests with complete vehicles and 750 sled tests for load safety or components of road and rail vehicles and even aircraft. In Helmond, our employees can take care of the entire development process for your passive safety systems. We offer tests in accordance with European, Japanese, and North American standards.

Our Test System at a Glance

As part of the Dutch Technology Center for Transportation, the High Tech Automotive Campus, we have at our disposal:

  • A 160-meter length test track
  • For crash tests with commercial vehicles up to 22 tons and a speed of 40 km/h
  • For frontal crash tests for cars up to speeds of 110 km/h
  • A 55-meter length catapult sled system for vehicle bodies and components with a tolerance of only 0.3 km/h
  • A linear impactor
