Our Services for Carbon Footprint and Lifecycle Assessment
Experts at TUV Rheinland will help you determine the product carbon footprint (PCF), part of your life cycle assessment. This "footprint" tells you how many greenhouse gas emissions your product will generate over its entire lifetime. Improve your market position with a positive life cycle assessment.
We will conduct your LCA according to the DIN EN ISO 14040 and 14044:2006 standards. The assessment comprises four phases:
We will work with you to define the goal and the scope of your assessment.
For the life cycle inventory analysis, we compile a register of all input and output data.
In the impact assessment stage, additional information is drawn into the equation - such as environmental impact. This serves as the basis for the fourth and final phase.
Following the testing period, the conclusions are summarized and you will be provided with a test report. We then proceed forward to certify the study by identifying the methodology used and the resulting data. This is followed by a "critical review" where careful examinations according to the DIN EN ISO 14040 or 14044 standards are conducted. If the results are positive, you will be provided with a certificate.
