Certified Energy Efficiency

Our experts conduct the certification process in several steps and in close cooperation with your company. To reduce the complexity of the energy analysis, we break down your operations into typical consumption elements, each of which has specifically defined requirements. These, in turn, are also individually adapted to the specific circumstances of your company. Upon successful completion of the audit, you receive the “energy-efficient company” certificate. To sustain and further extend the savings achieved, we conduct periodic follow-up audits.

Five Steps to Becoming an “Energy-Efficient Company”

Step 1: The Energy Check

Step 2: Assessment and Analysis of Potential Savings

  • Assessment and analysis of the current state:
    Identification of typical consumption units and their applications Compilation of a list of questions

Step 3: Planning and Cost/Benefit Analysis

  • Plan for implementing the proposed savings measures that were approved

Evaluation of Energy Efficiency

When analyzing and evaluating sources of energy used, overall complexity is reduced by breaking the sources down into manageable elements of consumption. The energy efficiency of each element is then evaluated using a list of criteria specific to the application in question.

Example: A Hospital

Let’s examine a hospital with its typical applications: building shell, elevators, operating rooms, intensive care stations, treatment rooms, hospital rooms, kitchen, laundry, and a vehicle fleet. Each of these applications uses different sources of energy: air conditioning, medical devices, IT equipment, and lighting, to mention a few. The list of criteria that need to be evaluated each includes questions on management and the quality assurance system in place, along with various energy-related devices and installations that have a significant impact on energy consumption. We weigh the importance of each of these while incorporating them in the overall evaluation of energy efficiency.

The Target Threshold: 60%

“Energy-efficient company” certificates are issued to businesses that satisfy at least 60% of the criteria in the overall energy analysis.
