Welding Procedure Services

Ensure the Quality of Your Welding Procedures

Weak welding procedures lead to weak welds, which can lead to disaster. TÜV Rheinland can perform weld tests and weld qualifications for compliance with the American Welding Society (AWS) API test on welds and guidelines from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). This helps ensure that your welding is high-quality, dependable work.

More Information

The data to support a standard welding procedure specification is derived from procedure qualification records (PQRs) generated by the Welding Procedures Committee of the Welding Research Council (WRC), and from PQRs received from industry and government agencies.

Welding procedure specifications (WPS) documents describe how welding should be carried out in production. They are recommended for all welding operations, and many application codes and standards make them mandatory.
