Certification of Factory Production Control (FPC)

Requirements for Certification in Compliance with EN 1090ff
As a basis for certification according to EN 1090ff, your company must pass several tests, such as:
- Welder examinations
- Welding procedure testing
- ISO 3834 - quality assurance in welding operations
- Implementation and continuous supervision of Factory Production Control System
The EN 1090 Certification Process
Once we receive your application for certification in compliance with EN 1090, we will conduct the initial inspection of your factory production control system.
If all required criteria are fulfilled, factory production certification will be issued.
We can also provide the regular monitoring you need for on-going compliance with EN 1090.
Notified Body for Construction Products
As one of the Notified Bodies (NBs) under the Construction Products Regulation, TÜV Rheinland is a recognized third party body carrying out conformity assessments established in the relevant harmonized European standards or European Technical Assessment.
The range of possible tasks are:

Construction Product Regulation (CPR)
Over twenty years ago, the Construction Products Directive (CPD) 89/106/EEC (external link to http://ec.europa.eu/enterprise/policies/european-standards/harmonised-standards/construction-products/index_en.htm) came into force in Europe.
The aim of the directive was to standardize the manufacturing of construction products and guarantee the free trade and unlimited use of these products within the EU. On 1. July 2013 the European Construction Products Regulation (CPR) replaced the existing Construction Products Directive (CPD). As of 1. July 2013, all construction products on the market must comply with the CPR and the special emphasis being placed on written declaration of performance and modified CE marking.
Sections of the CPR were already adopted as harmonized specifications across Europe, such as the EN 10025ff standard for hot-rolled products from structural steel. At the end of 2010, the EN 1090ff standard started to replace the nationally applicable regulations DIN 18800-7 or DIN V 4113-3.
By the middle of 2014 the transitional period will expire and all companies producing and processing metal working under construction supervision must be certified according to EN 1090-1.
