Swiss S+ Safety Mark
In Switzerland, electrical low-voltage appliances have to fulfill the requirements of the Ordinance for Electrical Low-Voltage Products (NEV). Electrical low-voltage equipment can be marked on a voluntary basis with the well-known Swiss S+ safety mark. All products for end users must conform to NEV requirements in the same way that individual, integrated components that go into an end product also have to conform. This includes meeting conformity criteria with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). Ask our experts who will be glad to help you with the right procedure for approval.
Through the Nordic Approval Scheme, the Nordic test houses SEMKO (Sweden), NEMKO (Norway), FIMKO (Finland), and DEMKO (Denmark) have established a mutually test result framework. Through an agreement with FIMKO – Finland’s leading testing, certification, and calibration company – TÜV Rheinland can provide certification with the Finnish FI mark, which then certifies your products for imports in the other countries. The FI mark shows that an electrical product has been tested for safety and has earned the support of consumers and retailers.
TÜV Rheinland offers services for drafting professional research reports. For a wide range of products and countries, these reports specify which regulations, laws, and standards apply in which countries.
Customs Union EAC Mark
Customs Union Technical Regulations are coming into force for more and more products. Regulations have been implemented that cover Electrical, Machinery, Food, Textile and other kinds of products.
Although in some cases more than one Techincal Regulation may apply to the same product, only one certificate will be issued with all of them mentioned in to access all the country members – Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan. All the certified products should be marked with EAC compliance mark before placed on the market.
Mandatory Hygienic registration may also be required for food products, special products for infants and others. TUV Rheinland can support you with all the preparation and application steps for obtaining Customs Union Approval.
GOST R and TR-Approvals
Although, most of the products may be covered with Customs Union Technical Regulations requirements, but some still remain under the regulation of GOST R compliance system. Our experts can determine which approvals you need. If your product is affected by one of the regulations, you must obtain the certificate or registration prior to the first shipment to Russia, and provide Russian customs with proof of conformity.
Depending on the equipment type, the product may require Certificate or Declaration of Conformity (CoC or DoC). Complex Communication equipment under CoC scheme requires often local testing of the samples. We can help you navigate your way through the procedure, based on know-how and experience.
All medical devices entering Russia must be locally tested and registered in Roszdravnadzor. Depending on the actual product, the DoC or CoC scheme applies. TÜV Rheinland can provide support for obtaining Medical Approval for Russia for Your products.
Similar to Russian GOST-R certification, the Ukraine has its own UkrSEPRO system to regulate safety requirements for products and their certification. In addition, the Ukrainian Ministry of Health imposes hygiene requirements for a set of products, for example in the food processing industry. Registration for electrical product imports based on a CB scheme including a Test Report and certified production monitoring by TÜV Rheinland is relatively easy to acquire. All you need to do is apply for a certificate in accordance with Ukrainian standards. For your products, Ukrainian experts control other products themselves for compliance with national requirements, for instance, specific types of devices. Even if no certification or declaration is required, we nevertheless recommend obtaining confirmation from a public authority to attach to customs documents to support a smooth progress during import.
Serbian certification bodies assign mandatory proof of conformity for electrical product imports and rely on the relevant CE-guidelines when implementing the provisions..TÜV Rheinland test reports can be used as aquivalent to certification and require no further testing in the country.
