Our Bluetooth® Testing Services

To acquire the right to use the Bluetooth® wireless technology and claim certification, your product must be tested and assessed according to the Bluetooth Qualification Program established by Bluetooth® SIG. We provide comprehensive support for Bluetooth® Qualification.

In February 2014, Bluetooth® SIG introduced a streamlined qualification and listing process. With this update, the company discontinued the QDID fee and introduced a new listing fee.

The most important prerequisite to any qualification and listing requires a company to become a Bluetooth® SIG member as well as a Bluetooth® “Promoter,” “Adopter,” or “Associate” member. The related adopters or associate agreements must be up-to-date. Different paths to successful qualification and listing are based upon how your products are developed.

Our offices in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong provide you with comprehensive support drawing upon a wealth of expertise and know-how in the Bluetooth® qualification process.

Our Approach to Bluetooth® Qualification and Certification

In order to begin the listing process, your new product must complete an extensive qualification process. This includes the declaration of supported features, testing and uploading of the test evidence. We offer you a comprehensive range of Bluetooth® testing services, including:

  • Profile conformance tests

An overview of procedures related to Bluetooth® testing and listing projects is available through TÜV Rheinland. It is not designed to amend or replace officially published information from Bluetooth® SIG, such as, but not limited to, the Licensing and Trademark regulations published in the Bluetooth® Brand Book.

Our Bluetooth® certification approach is as follows:

  • Submission of first set of documents, necessary before preparation of the test plan
  • Provide second set of documents, prior to testing
  • Submission of final set of documents, necessary for the assembly of the compliance folder

The Bluetooth® SIG is a global trade association with over 20,000 member companies in the areas of telecommunication, computing, networking and consumer electronics. The group oversees the development of the specification and manages the qualification program.

Bluetooth® Market Leader in Asia

We are a leader in the field of Bluetooth® testing and certification in Asia – the most important Bluetooth® market. Our Bluetooth® qualification test facilities (BQTF) in Japan and Taiwan are accredited by the Bluetooth® Qualification Review Board (BQRB) and offer a comprehensive range of testing and certification to all Bluetooth® SIG members. We perform Bluetooth qualification tests identified as "Category A and at or below the Host Controller Interface (HCI) level" within the Test Case Reference List (TCRL).
