Also

TÜV Rheinland requirements, such as 2 PfG 1169/08.2007, and diverse UL standards - these norms define the electrical, mechanical and construction requirements that the components must comply with to guarantee sufficient safety against hazards over the long term, such as electric shocks or burning. They also define and lay out specific material requirements for fireproofing and stability in bad weather.
