Training / Education for Soldiers

We can provide comprehensive support for your new, civilian career (career soldiers enlisted for 4, 8, or 12 years). Our personnel developers work together with soldiers to help them plan their professional roadmap and create a personalized training program. Even after they have started their civilian careers, we continue to support former soldiers. TÜV Rheinland Academy can provide additional training and coaching.

TÜV Rheinland provides the following benefits for soldiers:

  • Employees of the employment promotion service (Berufsförderungsdienstes, BFD) of the German army get competent support in finding civilian careers for former career soldiers (SaZ).

Our Services for Career Soldiers

Orientation Phase

  • Profiling, taking stock of qualifications, objectives, analysis of strengths/weaknesses, identification of gaps in qualifications
  • Career planning with creation of a qualification blueprint, as an individualized roadmap for the objective position

Qualification Phase

  • Training for key qualifications with training courses for project management, conflict management, time management, and self-management
  • Specialist qualification with retraining, further education, and specialist training

Application Phase

  • Development of application strategies to plan and implement the right individual approach to the job market
  • Application training, including checking and optimizing documents and training for interviews

Post-Application Phase

When former career soldiers start their life civilian careers, we continue to provide coaching throughout their transition phase. Career soldiers can also attend additional further training at the TÜV Rheinland Academy - and are entitled to subsequent coaching from our personnel developers.

Our Qualifications

Whatever their period of service (career soldiers serving for 4, 8 or 12 years), soldiers receive specialist training with the objective of finding them a position with a company. We offer the following training and education:

  • Specialist training with a Chamber of Industry and Commerce examination for careers, such as construction machinery operator, EU-certified professional driver, IT worker, mechatronics fitter, or industrial mechanic.
  • Qualifications for business administration, sales, or expert qualifications in many other areas – such as the automotive sector or healthcare, for example.
  • Courses in areas like mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, environmental protection, biotechnology, electroplating, or automotive technology, for example.

Legal Standard

Our training and support for former career soldiers is based on:

  • Cooperation agreements between the Employment Promotion Service of the German Army and the TÜV Rheinland Academy.
