Quality Monitoring During Construction

Five-Phase Check: Identify Construction Defects Early

The work performed by each individual in the building trade has a decisive effect on the success of your construction project – whether for new construction or renovation. Use our five-phase check. With it, we will assist you through all stages of a construction project: from planning your project right through to final acceptance. Our employees continuously monitor the quality of the construction work, identifying and documenting any deficiencies. You reap the benefits of keeping costs well under control, because installation errors can be remedied as soon as they are detected. And not after all the work has already been done.

Benefits at a Glance

With the 5-phase check by TÜV Rheinland’s experts, you can:

  • Identify any defects early and eliminate them immediately without additional costs
  • Ensure high construction quality, because we coach everyone involved in the construction project to watch for errors and deviations
  • Receive thorough documentation that informs you of the quality of the construction work done in each construction phase
  • Take advantage of state-of-the-art inspection methods

Outline of the 5-Phase Check

Before construction starts, our experts review your planning documents and point out critical issues, such as deviations from recognized engineering practices. In the following phases, we conduct random checks of construction components and the work performed by the trades that are decisive in the given construction phase. At each milestone you receive a report, complete with photographic documentation, informing you of any errors in implementation and of the elimination of defects – from the start of construction to completion of the property.

Quality Monitoring
Phase 1: Review of the planning documents
Phase 2: Waterproofing system and building drainage
Phase 3: Shell construction, rough-ins, and airtightness of the building
Phase 4: Surface cement, interior plaster, roof, facades, and thermographic inspection of thermal insulation
Phase 5: Floor covering, wall covering, and finishing
