We expect responsible conduct from our suppliers and contractors and we hold them accountable: In 2009 we completely revised our general purchasing terms and conditions. We only allow companies who are prepared to commit to our values to work with us.

German Sustainability Award

TÜV Rheinland enables companies to purchase sustainable products through many and diverse product tests, as well as through certifications and audits in accordance with environmental, social and our own CSR standards. With the emphasis on testing, which directly and indirectly supports and promotes sustainability, we want to set standards in our sector. For this commitment we were nominated for the German Sustainability Award in the category of Most Sustainable Purchase in 2009.

Customer satisfaction

We carry out customer satisfaction surveys regionally and in the Business Streams. For example, the Training and Consulting Business Stream surveyed around 15,000 participants in its seminars in 2009. The goal was to identify improvement potential and possible criticism and complaints, which do not reach us through complaints management.

Marketing & Advertising

Regarding marketing and advertising, TÜV Rheinland adheres to the code of conduct of the international umbrella organization for inspection agencies (IFIA) and incorporates the principle of fairness into its marketing policy.
