Chief Technology Officer, TÜV Rheinland AG

Since 1 January 2012, Volker Klosowski has been appointed Chief Technology Officer at TÜV Rheinland AG and Head of Systems Business Stream Germany. Klosowski was born in 1966 in Bochum-Wattenscheid and studied chemical engineering at the Technische Universität Dortmund. Volker Klosowski graduated with diploma (Dipl.-Ing.) and started his career in 1991 as staff member of the Department Steam and Pressure Vessel Technology of the Rhineland-Westphalia TÜV. In 1995 he obtained the title „approved expert for pressure vessel plants and compressed gas systems”. One year later, he was Head of the Department Steam and Pressure Vessel Technology at RWTÜV.

Volker Klosowski then held various senior management positions at the RWTÜV, and in 2001 he was appointed Member of the Executive Board. After the merger with TÜV Nord, Volker Klosowski was appointed in 2004 Managing Director of the TÜV Nord GmbH and in 2005 he was appointed Member of the Executive Board of the TÜV Nord AG responsible for the fields international affairs, certification and industrial service testing.

Volker Klosowski is married and has three children.
