Prof. Dr. Jürgen Brauckmann was appointed to the Board of Management of TÜV Reinland Berlin Brandenburg Pfalz e.V. in May 2002. In addition, he is Chairman of the Executive Board of TÜV Kraftfahrt GmbH and hence responsible for the operations of this company and its subsidiaries. Brauckmann also heads the Mobility Group Division in Germany.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Brauckmann came to the TÜV Rheinland Group in April 2000 to take the chair of Executive Director of the TÜV Energie und Umwelt GmbH, which is a group-affiliated company. In October of the same year, he was appointed Chairman of Management of the TÜV Kraftfahrt GmbH. Born in 1950 in Witten an der Ruhr, he began his studies and earned his doctorate at the Technical University of Clausthal. He began his professional career at Mannesmannröhren-Werke AG. He acquired comprehensive international experience and knowledge through corporate management, which was the basis of his good reputation in the Board of Directors of the Energie und Umwelttechnik AG within the Babcock Group in the 1990s.
