Achieve your goals
TÜV Rheinland offers numerous HR development measures for advancing your career. In principle we offer two career paths: a specialist career as an expert in a specific technical area or a managerial career with responsibility for other employees. Which you choose, we will support you with suitable qualification measures.
You discuss your career objectives with your line manager in the annual employee review meeting. You then jointly plan your next moves and consider which further qualifications you require for this purpose. The TÜV Rheinland Academy has numerous options for individual training, for example English courses at different levels.
Another way of acquiring further expertise is an extra-occupational higher education course. In cooperation with the Fachhochschule Südwestfalen, you can study for a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in electrical or mechanical engineering. IT specialists can enrol on the "Applied IT Security" correspondence course, leading to a qualification as a Master of Science. Financial support is available from the company.

Career growth step by step
You would like to embark on a career and taken on managerial responsibility? If you have management potential, you can participate in our Talent Management Programme. Candidates are selected via an assessment centre. In the Talent Management Programme, you will map your strengths and determine your development potential with experienced trainers. The programme is rounded off by seminars on topics such as employment law and management qualifications.
As a prospective manager, you can fall back on the support of coaches who will help you face your new challenges. You can discuss the details of the management training options with your supervisor directly in your annual employee review meeting.
HR development on the road to management
Support on the way to the top
TÜV Rheinland supports anyone who wants to make it right to the top. If you show potential as a manager, your supervisor will suggest that you make this career move. Together with your designated HR developer, you will undergo an appraisal at an assessment centre and draw up a personal development plan. With the aid of tailored training, you can prepare for your new role. At the Management College, you will attend seminars on the leadership skills required of executives, intensify your knowledge of business administration and benefit from one-on-one coaching. In this way, you will receive optimum support in mastering the tasks of an executive.
The Talent Team and how they work
Talent Teams denotes a program designed by TÜV Rheinland especially for the promotion of junior management. Implemented frequently in both national and international HR development, the program has met with great success. Participation is open to in-house staff members who are thought to have potential for advancement at Group level.
The film illustrates all the different steps of a Talent Team process, from kick-off to project work and finally to completion of the project. The implementation is described from the point of view of the participants and of HR managers, providing you with an in-depth understanding of the whole approach. Enjoy viewing it!
