Test Centres Worldwide
In order to perform its wide range of services for customers worldwide, TÜV Rheinland has a global network of highly specialised test laboratories and test offices for analysing various issues. These include environmental analysis and material engineering laboratories, as well as laboratories for physical and chemical tests and for the analysis of foodstuffs.
This laboratory network is being expanded continuously. The largest laboratory centres in TÜV Rheinland’s Global Technology Assessment Centers (GTAC) are located in Bangkok, Budapest, Cologne/Nuremberg, Silicon Valley, Shanghai and Yokohama. In the GTACs, experts employed by the independent test provider check and certify the quality and safety of products across the globe. This reflects the reality of the global goods flows. In addition, TÜV Rheinland maintains a wide network of solar energy assessment centres with a focus on testing and certifying photovoltaic modules in the field of renewable energies. TÜV Rheinland test centres can be found in Bangalore, Cologne, Shanghai, Taichun in Taiwan as well as two in Yokohama. TÜV Rheinland PTL also has a laboratory in Tempe, Arizona. Particularly in the field of vehicle testing, TÜV Rheinland maintains a further 275 test centres in Chile, Germany, France, Latvia and Spain as well as test centres for passive safety, emissions and engine engineering.
