TUV Approved

Tested and certified measuring equipment is the basis
for an optimal emission control.

The certification "TUV Approved" takes an examination of the complete measuring equipment following the "minimum standards for the approval test of continuous emission measuring instruments". In addition the manufacturer subjects itself to a annual audit for the quality control.

The most important test criteria for continuous emission measuring instruments are:

The lab test

Here the measuring instrument is subjected to a detailed functional test. Appertaining to that:

  • examination of guaranteed features
  • control and verification of all device functions
  • linearity check
  • determination of procedure characteristics
    • t90 time
    • detection limits,
    • cross sensitivity,
    • reaction to changes in temperature,
  • control of the operating instruction on completeness, correctness and intelligibility

The field test (optional)

  • examination of the general device functions,
  • functional test of the measuring equipment at the beginning and end of the field test,
  • determination of the calibrating-ability,
  • determination of procedure characteristics (for example drift behaviour, repeatability)
  • determination of the maintenance interval and the availability.

Annual audit

  • Control of the high-quality management guidelines combined with the production of the device.
  • Inspection of a device from the current production:
Does the capability of the measuring equipment correspond still to that of the first examination?
