TS 16949

International standards facilitate trade

The quality experts at TÜV Rheinland Group inspect automobile industry companies in accordance with ISO/TS 16949. This uniform quality standard for the automobile sector was only recently presented by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF). It represents the efforts of a joint working group comprised of the IATF and the ISO Technical Committee (ISO/TC 176) as well as their subcommittees. This is a breakthrough because this standard unites the quality requirements that exist worldwide. It is recognized by both the American and the European automobile industries.
