Quality for the entire delivery chain

The globalization of the telecommunications industry was the driving force behind the emergence of international quality standard TL-9000. TÜV Rheinland Group offers certification in accordance with this standard. The aim is quality assurance throughout the entire delivery chain; that is, from the provider to hardware and software suppliers, all the through to other service providers. For this purpose, the ISO 9001 standard was supplemented by three segments which are relevant to telecommunications: hardware, software and service (TL 9000-HW, TL 9000-SW, TL 9000-SC). The essential extension vis-à-vis ISO 9001 consists in the possibility of measuring and comparing the individual segments.
