Tips
What Ought You To Know Beforehand?
- Try to be as frank and honest as possible.
- Avoid making light of your behavior or making it out to be harmless. Accept that circumstances were not to blame for your disqualification and that you yourself were to blame and will need to change your behavior if you want to regain and keep your driver's license.
- Have a good rest before turning up for the test. You can eat normally beforehand.
- Don't forget to bring identification with you.
- Have with you all the certificates or similar documents that may help you, such as liver function readings, therapy certificates, discharge reports, self-help group certificates, certification of attendance at drug advice centers, probation officer's reports, etc.)
- If you wear glasses, bring them with you.
- If you take medications regularly, have them with you too.
- Have no inhibitions if you fail to understand a question the examiner asks you. Ask him or her to repeat the question, to explain it, or to ask it in a different way.
- If German is not your native language, please consider whether you may need an interpreter and notify us in advance if you do.
- If you don't understand the findings, please contact the examiners. They will meet with you and explain how they reached their result. If you do so as soon as you have received their findings, this interview is, of course, free of charge.
- If your licensing authority has expressed misgivings in connection with a drug offense, you should wherever possible bring the results of drug screening tests with you.
