SCC/SCP
Target groups and purpose
Originally developed for service providers in the oil industry, SCC (Safety Checklist Contractors) certification has also proven its worth in other industries. If you are a provider of technical or personnel services, it certifies the acceptability of your occupational health and safety procedures.
The size of your company is key
The certification is based on a checklist. The number of mandatory questions asked and the type of certificate issued depends on the number of employees at your company. If your company has fewer than 35 employees, you will be awarded a restricted certificate, SCC*. If you are a larger company, you will be certified SCC**. Other requirements apply if you are a provider of personnel services (SCP).
Minimize accidents
The objective of the SCC is to reduce and prevent losses caused by accidents. The standard defines clear thresholds for accident frequency, meaning that your current accident statistics form the basis of the assessment.
